MOFFETT, Margaret

Feb. 17, 1931 - Apr. 28, 2020 MOFFETT - Margaret (née Fletcher) on April 28, 2020. She is lovingly remembered by daughter Eileen Wheeler (Bill), sons Carey and Christopher (Marcy) Moffett, brothers Fred (Marty) and Allan (Craig) Fletcher, grandsons Dylan (Quina) and Sean (Jennifer) Wheeler, nephew Fred Fletcher Jr and great grandsons Callum and Jack Wheeler. Born in Vancouver February 17, 1931, Margaret grew up in the Parker St. area and at 15 met the love of her life, 'Jimmy'. Married 52 years they shared a love of live theatre, reading and 'trailer trips' to Wash. state lakes. During 13 years in Campbell River she worked as a school secretary and in an architectural firm. Back in Vancouver where she became deeply rooted in her West Point Grey community, she attended WPG United Church for over 50 years. As a Welcome Wagon hostess for 25, she took special pride in acquainting young moms with their new communities. Living with Alzheimer's, Margaret maintained her cheerful sociable nature engaging in her outings and family visits with joy. The family is grateful to the stimulating Crossreach program and to the excellent and compassionate care from all staff at West Point Grey Hospital. We miss her dearly.
