MOSELEY, Kathleen (Kay) Hermione

-

January 3, 1930 - April 17, 2020 Born in Gosport, U.K. on January 3, 1930, Kay was the daughter of RAF Wing Commander William War Daulman and wife Kathleen (nee Turner). As a child of a serving officer in peace and wartime, Kay attended thirteen different schools. After finishing school, she worked as a library assistant and as a secretary. She met her husband Lawrence at a meeting of the Young Conservatives. They married in 1956 and soon after immigrated to Canada, settling in Richmond, B.C. Inspired by her love of books and reading, she attended Langara College in the Library Technician program, and then worked in various Richmond secondary schools. Kay was creative, turning her hand to various crafts over the years including pottery, ceramics, needlepoint, photography and watercolour painting. She enjoyed travelling, taking many holidays with her family, including with her beloved cousin Shirley Bowyer. Kay had a quick wit and an infectious giggle. She loved gardening and buying different plants, and her happiest times in her later years were in the garden, with her cat Susie nearby. The family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to her caregiver of the past seven years, Sherely, for her attentive and compassionate care. They also thank her devoted friend Shirley. Predeceased by Lawrence in 2013. Survived by son Nick Moseley (Nance), daughter Sarah Tanaka (Tomo), grandchildren Daniel Moseley (Crystal), Gillian Mclean (Jordan) and Alexander Tanaka, and greatgranddaughters Evelyn Mclean and Eloïse Moseley, with another Moseley due to arrive in May, and dear family in the UK. Also survived by Sherely’s daughter Nia, who was like another great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kay’s name to the Vancouver Humane Society or Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation. Condolences may be offered at
