Chilliwack reader has no time for Dr. Henry’s authority

I no longer recognize Dr. Bonnie Henry’s authority over my health, the health of my family or the ones I care about.

Dr. Henry has failed on guidelines for mask use, ignoring the WHO, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta and Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer.

Dr. Henry has failed on testing and as a result, B.C. has no idea how many people are asymptomatic, pre-symptomatic or infected with COVID-19. Dr. Henry has failed the families of B.C. by ignoring the science, ignoring common sense and seemingly putting her own ego above the safety of everyone in B.C.

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms declares we have the right to “life, liberty and security” and Dr. Henry’s so-called guidelines don’t meet that standard. So, I encourage every teacher to set their own guidelines for their classrooms, following the best practices of competent leaders and medical professionals.
