RV tour helps family break out of the coronavirus doldrums

-

A brief but hot and happy RV experience broke us out of our coronavirus funk.

We’ve never had an RV, but decided this might be a way to see a bit of our beautiful province and break the chains COVID-19 has had us trapped in.

We started in Harrison Hot Springs with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson, and took a detour to see a brother, then drove all the way up to Sapeye Lake in the Chilcotin/cariboo region to visit with other relatives.

It was the perfect pandemic vacation as our Minnie Winnie was self-contained so we didn’t have to find somewhere to eat and sleep or use public restrooms.

We are city folk, so it was all very new and exciting. These are tough times so we are so grateful we could find a small piece of happiness and distraction, even if just for two weeks.

It wasn’t an inexpensive vacation but myoh-my it was worth it. We feel really rested and refreshed, and ready to tackle the potential fall virus uptick. It’s possible to safely leave your home and continue to live a life of some joy. Pauline and Arne Johansen, North Vancouver
