RAPTORS HIT BY COVID OUTBREAK
Only days into training camp, the Toronto Raptors have been hit by a COVID-19 outbreak, though they say it's being contained. The Raptors announced Monday morning three members of the organization had tested positive for COVID-19 during recent, pre-camp, league-mandated testing. “All three are, and will continue to, self-isolate away from the rest of the organization,” the Raptors said. The club didn't specify who has tested positive, whether it was players or staff. The team held its first full practice a day earlier and afterward head coach Nick Nurse and point guard Fred VanVleet talked of the challenges of staying safe this season while they're in Tampa. Florida remains a COVID hot spot. “There's lots on the line if you're not doing the best you can with the COVID-19 protocols,” Nurse said Sunday.
