Sustainable certification in California continues to expand
Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing wrapped up its first decade of work at the end of 2020 with some impressive momentum and growth in certified vineyards and wineries.
One hundred seventy-one wineries and 2,247 vineyards are certified, representing a third of all vineyards in California and 255 million cases or 80 per cent of total production.
Given the time and investment required to implement sustainable practices and verify those practices via third-party certification, it is becoming clear wine people believe that sustainability matters, and they want to be a part of making it happen.
April is B.C. Wine Month led by a multimedia pitch to consumers titled A Year in the Life. The campaign is supported by billboards, in-store point-of-sale materials, social media and even a contest inviting you to learn more about B.C. wine, discover new spring releases, and participate in a B.C. wine quiz.
With luck, you can win an exclusive behind-the-scenes trip for two, when it is safe to do so, to one of B.C.'s pristine wine regions.
