Cobain's FBI file released to public
An FBI file about Kurt Cobain's death has been released to the public. The 10-page file was posted online last month and mostly comprises letters in which fans question the nature of the Nirvana frontman's 1994 passing, which was ruled a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a heroin binge. Because of conspiracy theories, FBI officials were forced to respond to claims he was murdered. “I'm writing you in hopes for your help to press for a re-examination of Mr. Cobain's death,” read a September 2003 note. “Millions of fans around the world would like to see the inconsistencies surrounding the death cleared up once and for all.”
