Grey's Anatomy scores renewal

ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for an 18th season. The news comes amid rumours that the long-running medical drama would end after the current 17th season, which has featured returning cast members such as Patrick Dempsey, T.R. Knight, Chyler Leigh, Eric Dane and Sarah Drew. Grey's Anatomy debuted in March 2005, centring on Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and her fellow interns at what was then Seattle Grace Hospital.
