Cruise embraces lore of Bermuda Triangle

-

A cruise through the notorious Bermuda Triangle — associated for decades with missing aircraft and vessels — is being offered with a special proviso: a full refund if the ship disappears. The trip on the Norwegian Prima will explore areas of the Atlantic Ocean where reports of vanishing planes, ships and sailing boats have kept conspiracy theorists and amateur detectives occupied for years. But the cruise operators say passengers booking on the roughly $3,000 two-day excursion needn't fret. “Don't worry about disappearing on this Bermuda Triangle tour,” the company states in a lighthearted ad. “The tour has a 100 per cent return rate and your money will be refunded in the rare chance you disappear.” According to reports, the Ancient Mysteries Cruise from New York to Bermuda is already drawing attention among armchair sleuths eager to gain first-hand evidence of the triangle's mysteries. It includes talks and question-and-answer sessions on the region, as well as a twilight Bermuda Triangle cruise on-board a glass-bottomed boat. Guest speakers include Nick Pope, who worked for Britain's Ministry of Defence and on its “UFO desk” in the 1990s, and author Nick Redfern, who has written more than 60 books, mostly relating to extraterrestrials. Other speakers lined up are UFO experts Micah Hanks and Peter Robbins, and paranormal podcaster Jim Harold. Located in the area between Bermuda, Miami and Puerto Rico, the triangle covers about 500,000 square metres of ocean that is often prone to bad weather. The ship is to set sail from New York on March 28, 2023.
