Dear Lucy bets big on a single serum
New Canadian skin care brand Dear Lucy is betting big on one skin care product. The recently launched, B.c.-based brand launched with only one offering: the Marine Antioxidant Serum.
“It's a powerful all-in-one serum offering the benefits of a multi-step routine in one bottle,” says Caity Cameron, founder of the brand. “It's clinically proven to significantly improve the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles after eight weeks. It also feels incredible on your face.”
We caught up with Cameron to learn more:
Q For those who aren't familiar, what is Dear Lucy?
A Dear Lucy is a conscious skin care brand based in Vancouver that blends luxury with social responsibility. Right now, we're focused on one product: Marine Antioxidant Serum.
Q What makes it unique?
A What truly sets Dear Lucy apart is our efficacy. We know how discouraging it can be when you invest time and money into a product with high expectations, only to be disappointed with the results. So, we decided early on that if our serum wasn't the best we've ever used, it wasn't worth making. After months of rigorous testing and refining, we arrived at a winning formula. To provide our customers with undeniable proof, we commissioned a third-party lab to conduct an in-vivo (human) clinical trial, which confirmed what we already knew: our serum works.
We take pride in producing products that are both highly effective and environmentally responsible. Sustainability is reflected in every aspect of our company, from sourcing ethically and sustainably produced ingredients to manufacturing locally in Vancouver.
Q What more can you share about the product formulation?
A Our goal was to make a single powerhouse product that does it all: moisturize, brighten, firm, soothe and smooth. Custom formulated by a brilliant Canadian chemist, our serum features a targeted blend of vitamin C (THDA), alpha-arbutin, niacinamide, squalane and our polyphenol-rich seaweed extract for maximum benefits.
Q What is the price range for your products?
A Our 30 ml bottle of serum is $140, a refill cartridge is $130, and a bundle including both the bottle and a refill is $255.
