Barebone aims to inspire confidence with jewelry
Barebone founder Amber Hsu is eager to take jewelry back to the basics.
The Vancouver-based entrepreneur creates modern jewelry pieces using sustainable materials with the aim of creating “a world where confidence is the ultimate accessory.”
We caught up with Hsu to learn more.
Q For those who aren't familiar, what is Barebone?
A Barebone is a demi-fine jewelry brand created to remind the modern woman of her strength and confidence. Blending modern simplicity with timeless esthetics, each piece is an invitation to stand out and shine. Consciously attuned to our environment, our products are made with recycled sterling silver and freshwater pearls; our packaging is eco-friendly and we ship carbon-neutral.
Q What makes it unique?
A Our minimal fashion empowers confidence, focusing on the most vital “piece” — the confident self.
Q Who is the target customer?
A She is a fashion-forward modern woman who appreciates minimal esthetics and seeks confidence through her style. Fashion is not just an accessory for her; it's a statement of self-assurance and an extension of her identity, reflecting both contemporary elegance and a commitment to affordable demifine pieces.
Q Is there a hero product in the line? If so, which one and what makes it so popular?
A At Barebone, our cuff earrings are most loved by our customers. They are minimal, edgy and contemporary. The design is intentional for the ears to be cuffed by the interesting hook shapes.
Q What is the price range for the products?
A Our demi-fine jewelry ranges from $25 for an ear cuff to $200 for a handmade necklace.
Q And where can people check them out?
A Online at barebone-apparel. com and in-person at our retail locations in downtown Vancouver.
