Youth to the People brings body care line to Canada

- ALEESHA HARRIS

A skin care business backed by some strong family credibility, Youth to the People recently expanded its offering to include body care.

The product launch, including a body butter, hand and body lotion, hand wash, and body scrub, sees the company’s clean skin care innovation applied beyond the face.

We caught up with co-founder Greg Gonzalez to learn more.

Q For those who aren’t familiar, what is Youth to the People?

A Youth to the People is more than just a skin care brand. We believe in the power of clean, innovative skin care that is not only good for your skin but also good for the planet. Founded by my cousin Joe Cloyes and I, we are a company built from the ground up with a conscious approach to every aspect and are inspired by the people each day.

Q What makes it unique?

A Our roots trace back more than 40 years to our grandmother Eva, a pioneer in professional-grade formulas. Her legacy of unparalleled high-performance skin care laid the foundation for our brand. Guided by the principles instilled by Eva, our Aunt Lori and my mother, Lisa, became our mentors, passing on not just a business but a profound work ethic and dedication to innovation. Today, we proudly carry forward our family’s legacy, shaping our standards for excellence and pushing the boundaries of skin care innovation.

Q Is there a ‘hero’ product? If so, which one and what makes it so popular?

A Youth To The People’s Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser is the one that started it all. It is an award-winning, hydrating, antioxidant-rich gel cleanser that is beloved by beauty editors, makeup artists, estheticians and consumers. Some consider it their daily green juice for their face!

Q What made this the right time to launch into body care?

A The YTTP team has been exploring body care since basically the beginning of the brand, but really wanted to pair high-level performance with a very elevated fragrance sensory experience to bring our consumers something special. Launching into body care felt like such a natural step for us and after years of development, we’ve created three super special and intentional aroma profiles that tap into neurosensorial science to pair with our amazing formulations and bring to the market.

Q What’s the price range for the new body collections?

A The bodycare line ranges from $53 to $65 and is available at Sephora and youthtothepeople. com.
