Azure Grove showcases diverse options in Langley community

- MICHELE MARKO

Langley's rapidly growing Carvolth neighbourhood is getting a new addition that offers an opportunity for those wanting to get a step onto the property ladder. Azure Grove, a two-building, six-storey project, is uniquely incorporating studio homes, with a starting price of $299,900, along with a mix of larger homes ranging from one to three bedrooms and dens. The homes range in size from 317 square feet to 899 square feet.

“I think we really wanted to come to market with a diverse offering,” explains Alex Holme, president of Prima Marketing, which is selling and marketing the project for ML Emporio Properties.

Though the studio units have a smaller footprint, they feature the same stylish finishes and functional space as all the homes, including private outdoor space. Access to outdoor patios was central to the project's design, and the shared ground-level courtyard between the two buildings is the foundational premise for creating generous outdoor space for all residents.

“There are some absolutely stunning private patios in this building and quite a range,” Holme notes. “We have some private patios on the ground level that range up to 255 square feet. Throughout the building, we have patios that are almost 500 square feet.”

Each building also has three distinct rooftop decks that offer opportunities for private entertaining. The amenities package is unique in a low-rise building setting, says Holme, describing them as almost highrise-inspired. Each building has a games lounge, three rooftop decks, access to the common area courtyard, a fitness centre, a business centre and a social area with arcade games.

“We really cater to buyers who are actually going to live in the building and amenities they can really use.”

The interiors have been thoughtfully imagined for a contemporary yet warm feel. Kitchen cabinetry is a mix of lacquer and wood-grain finishes in the lighthued scheme and a combination of two shades of grey in the dark scheme.

These are complemented with niche open shelving for added visual interest and to allow the homeowner to personalize the room. Full-slab, terrazzo-style quartz backsplashes and countertops inject a luxurious touch into the space.

“One of the things ML Emporio likes to be consistent on throughout their homes is a slab backsplash,” Holme observes.

The bathrooms boast the same clean, modern esthetic as the kitchens and are also accented with black matte plumbing fixtures.

Azure Grove is centrally located just west of the 200th Street corridor, which makes it easy to commute to other municipalities and access local retail amenities.

“We're really close to the Carvolth bus exchange,” Holme says. “The shopping mall to the west of the site has my favourite coffee shop, Blacksmith Bakery. It's a really up-and-coming neighbourhood with a lot of great walkable retail options. The area is expanding rapidly, so there are only going to be more opportunities to walk to different restaurants and retail shops.”

Holme sees Azure Grove as integrating seamlessly into the Carvolth neighbourhood, especially with the plan for adding more trees along the streetscape.

“I think the architecture really is unique. There are a lot of cool angles being used and a lot of different materials. ”
