The South Na­tion Conser­va­tion Au­tho­ri­ty (SNC) is see­king more vo­lun­teers to sit on its ad­vi­so­ry com­mit­tees or help with some of the re­gio­nal conser­va­tion group’s pro­jects and pro­grams du­ring the next year. The SNC ma­nages 4,384 square ki­lo­me­ters of fo­rest and wet­land ha­bi­tat in the Eas­tern On­ta­rio re­gion wi­thin the South Na­tion Ri­ver wa­ter­shed. Be­sides filling va­can­cies on ad­vi­so­ry com­mit­tees, the SNC needs vo­lun­teers to as­sist with park and pu­blic conser­va­tion area clea­nup, mo­ni­to­ring pro­grams for fish and wild­life, ha­bi­tat res­to­ra­tion work, tree plan­ting, and other ac­ti­vi­ties, in­clu­ding education and awa­re­ness pre­sen­ta­tions du­ring pu­blic events.
