TIFF announces jury for Platform competition

Movie makers from Germany, Hungary and South Korea will make up the jury for this year’s Platform program at the Toronto International Film Festival. Organizers say the jury will include Margarethe von Trotta, who is a prominent director in the New German Cinema movement. Also on the jury is existential Hungarian auteur Bela Tarr and acclaimed South Korean director Lee Chang-dong. The Platform program features up to 12 works that have high artistic merit and a strong directorial vision. The three-member jury will select the best film to win the $25,000 Toronto Platform Prize.
