Celebrate Kidspark’s 30th, Waterloo Park’s 125th, flowers and more on weekend
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there’s no shortage of events in the region. Here’s the shortlist:
Enjoy the 30th celebration of Kidspark in Kitchener’s Victoria Park this weekend. The free family-friendly event will offer a host of fun activities including rock climbing, inflatables, mini-putt, and science experiments. Bring a reusable water bottle to fill on site — there will be treats for purchase but everyone is welcome to bring their own.
Celebrate Waterloo Park’s 125th birthday with live music, family activities, a movie in the park and food trucks.
Get out your rubber boots and head to Lakeside Park for Swamp Tromp. City staff will guide you as you explore the ponds for a variety of different creatures.
Those who have aquatic nets and buckets are encouraged to bring them.
The Waterloo Horticultural Society is hosting a Gardeners Fair with a flower and vegetable competition.
Enjoy some fabulous blooms and take in presentations that include a flower-arranging demo, fall-planting information session, and a lecture on small-batch preserves.
