Taking the Lead in Digital Transformation
Able-One has a reputation for being a highly trusted business partner.
On September 23 Able-One Systems will celebrate their 30th anniversary. What started out as a 2-man operation refurbishing and reselling used computers in 1988, has transformed into a business that offers complete end-to-end IT solutions and services. Since purchasing Able-One in 2012, business partners Grant Sojnocki and Mark Kula have been radically and rapidly transforming the business to new areas. Security, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Cloud Services, and Blockchain are some of the ways the Solutions Division is able to help customers transform their companies to be competitive in an ever-evolving digital world. Integration of systems and data is the backbone of all of these solutions. Mark Ciprietti, President, has been with Able-One for the last year, but has been in the IT industry for the last thirty. “We’ve had to transform ourselves to provide greater value as our clients’ businesses are changing and ever-evolving,” says Ciprietti. “It used to be that our clients only had to worry about their usual competitor; today they’re worried about the competition they don’t know about. The Uber model (there is an Uber in every industry) is a perfect example of competition that you do not see coming. Securely integrating your systems and deriving insights through data analytics gives you vision to where the market is going. We advise our clients that their competitive advantage lies within the data that is already in their systems.” No matter what industry you’re in, analytics can unearth useful information to clarify decision-making. From predicting the ability to meet customer demands and identifying which customers are most likely to do repeat business, to analyzing supplier performance and improving your advertising—analytics can optimize your bottom line. As the world becomes increasingly digital, companies are compelled not only to innovate, but to do it quickly. Executives who focus only on what’s working right now risk being left in the cold trying to compete with more tech savvy organizations. Business today means not only keeping an eye on the competition you know about, but knowing how a new company can come out of nowhere and rewrite the rules. At the core of their offerings, Able-One continues to design, implement, and manage optimized modern IT environments that evolve along with your company. They do this on-prem, in the cloud, or most often, through a hybrid approach. Security is a big part of everything they offer. The complex nature of modern IT infrastructure has made security a top priority for any business. As there continues to be more ways to attack you, Able-One is finding better ways to protect your interests. In 2014 Able-One Systems moved their office from an industrial area on Campbell Avenue to downtown Kitchener’s Innovation District—a modern, first-class, open concept facility, complete with a gourmet kitchen. “The innovation community is part of what has helped us transform,” says Kula. “We want to contribute to and be in the middle of the energy and networking. We want Silicon Valley to be compared with us, not the other way around.” “The new office is like a home away from home. It’s helped us retain and attract top talent and allows us to host onsite events; one of the many ways we’re able to say thanks to our fantastic team, trusted partners, and loyal clients,” adds Kula. In addition to Able-One’s team of 40 employees, they also have access to another 200+ global experts with skills and knowledge they can rely on to streamline aggregation of solutions. “Able-One has a reputation for being a highly trusted business partner. As one of the top recommended solution providers we have a competitive advantage that allows us to offer a significant level of value to our clients quickly and efficiently,” says Sojnocki. As Able-One commemorates their 30 year milestone, they say ‘thank you’ to their team, clients, partners and the community, as they look forward to the next 30 years of transformation and innovation.
