Man in U.S. custody after cocaine seizure

A Guelph man remains in custody following a large cocaine seizure at the border this week. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Detroit said Friday that Dario Grujic remains in detention following a hearing in Detroit Wednesday, and will stay in custody at least until his next hearing on Nov. 6. Grujic was arrested and turned over to U.S. Homeland Security Monday after about 280 pounds of cocaine were found in a commercial truck crossing the Blue Water Bridge between Port Huron, Mich., and Sarnia. Grujic is facing charges of transporting narcotics and attempted distribution of a controlled substance.
