New Model Homes in Waterloo’s Prestigious West End Community
Today (Saturday, November 3rd) from 12 to 6 p.m. is the Grand Opening of two new model homes in sought-after Vista Hills, built by Activa, the Region’s largest homebuilder and land developer. Over two decades of planning went into creating this environmentally sustainable community that’s set amid serene countryside and surrounded by nearly 200 acres of protected land.
There are two new model homes, each telling a different part of a homeowner’s journey. The first home will illustrate the Activa experience, their construction processes and what distinguishes Activa from other builders. Visitors will learn about the ENERGY STAR® features that come standard in every Vista Hills detached home, and gain useful knowledge about the science behind how Activa builds. It’s the perfect starting point for any potential homeowner looking to learn exactly who Activa is and how they serve their homeowners. Designed with a bold, glam aesthetic (think black cabinets, gold hardware and sparkly quartz countertops), the home is definitely a showstopper.
The second home is elegantly staged, full of trendy Scandinavian and modern farmhouse finishes. With a light and neutral colour palette as a base, the home feels airy and homey, with many subtle pops of colour and greenery to keep it cozy and inviting. The white kitchen is livened up with sleek black hardware and modern lighting, and the great room has stunning built-ins to show off décor pieces sourced from various local shops.
While the models are shown on both sides of a semi-detached home, the floorplan is the same as Activa’s popular Summerpeak home design. Both homes also show many standard and upgrade options available in Activa’s Design Studio for detached homes.
There are nine different Vista Hills floorplans to choose from for 36’, 38’, and 40’ lots. Plans range from the 2,103 square foot Magnolia priced at $654,900 to the 2,806 square foot Maystream priced at $744,900. All are of a 2-storey design with the option to reconfigure the main and upper floor layouts. There are also several new lots being released this weekend on a variety of lot sizes. Purchasers of single-detached lots will also receive the added bonus of free appliances, $5,500 at Goeman’s Appliances or $5,500 to use on upgrades at the Activa Design Studio.
Each home in Vista Hills comes with over $20,000 in added value including ENERGY STAR® certification (for a healthier, more comfortable, environmentally-friendly home) and stunning standard features like 9’ ceilings on the main floor, granite countertops in the kitchen, hardwood flooring in the main floor great room, and 5 ¼” baseboards throughout. Floorplans include a spacious ensuite and walkin closet in all master bedrooms, and a basement ready to convert to bonus living space with a rough-in for a 3-piece bathroom and large egress windows for natural light.
