1`4-year-old boy’s death ruled homicide
MISSISSAUGA — Police say they’re investigating the death of a 14-yearold boy as a homicide.
Peel Regional Police Const. Heather Cannon says that the teen’s body was found in a Mississauga city park area shortly before 8 a.m. on Friday.
She did not offer details as to how his body was discovered.
The boy has been identified as 14-year-old Riley Martin. Cause of death have not yet been released, and Cannon says there are no suspects in custody.
Cannon says the force’s homicide unit is actively investigating the death. Police had initially said the boy was 13 years old, but later said that he was in fact 14.
