Garage fire spreads to house, $100,000 damage
A fire that started in a garage but spread to an attached house has left about $100,000 damage.Kitchener firefighters were called out to a fire on Morrison Road at about 1:30 a. m. Sunday. Three people in the house escaped and one man was treated and released from hospital with minor injuries to his hand, said Platoon Chief Greg Willett. The fire started in the garage and the majority of the damage was contained to the garage but the house has smoke damage, he said.The cause of the fire remains undetermined. Investigators were at the house Sunday.
