HODGKISS, Pauline Barbara (nee Johnson)

June 9, 1949 - August 22, 2019

Pauline passed peacefully with her beloved husband and daughters by her side on the afternoon of August 22nd. Pauline is survived by her husband Wayne, with whom she shared a wonderful 35 years, her daughters Cindy and Shelley (Mark Peters), her grandsons Connor (Erica) and Tyler (Rylee), her sister Susan Bell of Tennessee, and many extended family. Pauline is fondly remembered by her many past students and fellow staff throughout the Waterloo Region District School Board, as well as for her service with many agencies throughout the community, including Argus House, Kids Can Play, and the Cambridge Family Crisis Centre. She is also remembered by many for her extensive service with both the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board as well as the National Parole Board of Canada. Pauline’s family would like to express their most sincere thanks to the staff of the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit, and the Grand River Hospital Intensive Care Unit for the great care and compassion provided throughout this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to invite memorial donations to the KW Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. The family wishes to extend an invitation to all of Pauline’s many friends throughout the community to participate in a Celebration of Life, to be held at the Grand Valley Golf and Country Club on Roseville Road on Thursday, September 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
