WAGLER, Elmer L.

Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener. Elmer Wagler of New Hamburg in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Hilda (Jutzi) Wagler whom he married October 17, 1951. Dear father of Judy and husband Richard Lebold of New Hamburg and Donna and husband Roger McIntosh of RR#2 Tavistock. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Mark and Alison Lebold and their children Benjamin and Alex, Terry and Jen Lebold and their children Mackenzie, Finley and Logan, Brad and Laurie Lebold, Jason and Janna McIntosh and their children Connor, Kailynn and Carly and Jeff and Stefanie McIntosh and their children Charlotte, Nolan, Troy and Colin. Survived by his sister-in-law Alice Wagler of New Hamburg. Predeceased by his parents Joel and Katie (Lichti) Wagler, brothers Emmanuel Wagler and Chris and Verna Wagler. Elmer was a truck driver all his life having worked for C.L. Roth from 1953 - 1970 and for Elmer Poll from 1970 - 1991. In his retirement years Elmer volunteered at both Nithview Home and the Thrift Store in New Hamburg. Relatives and friends will be received in the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. New Hamburg on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the 19th Line East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, Those wishing to attend the visitation or service must RSVP on Elmer's memorial page. All attending will be required to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing. Family and friends will also be able to watch the service via live stream by going the Elmer's memorial page on the website. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Christian Aid Ministries, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
