It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur (Art) Nagel on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the age of 77. Born in Poland to Lydia and his adoptive father Otto Nagel (predeceased), Art came to Canada at a very young age. He was married to the love of his life, Lena (nee: Keulen) for 58 wonderful years and raised their family of three sons in Cambridge. Art spent his career as a skilled Class A Auto Mechanic and took great pride in his work up until his retirement. His favorite past times were fishing, camping, and caring for his property. His favorite people were his family. Some years ago, Art and Lena purchased acreage in Puslinch Township and were fortunate to have all three of their boys build their family homes on the property as well. Many good times were spent going back and forth from house to house through the back trails having family barbeques, parties and helping each other out with whatever project was on the go at the time. Art was a devoted family man who established a family tree with roots that run deep and strong. He will be greatly missed. Art leaves behind his beloved wife Lena, children Allen (Cristina), Jason (Cassandra), daughter-in-law Sue Nagel. He was predeceased by his son, Greg, just seven months ago. Also missing Art today are his cherished grandchildren Jessica, Danielle, Ryan, Emily, Tristan and Catrina. Art is survived by his brothers Richard Nagel (Judy) and Edward Nagel (Heather) and sister-in-law Hennie Tomlin (David). He was predeceased by his older brother Horace Nagel. Visitation will be held at COUTTS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, 519-621-1650) on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 5 - 9 p.m. In accordance with the regulations of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees.
