Trespassing complaint leads to $13,500 drug seizure
Waterloo Regional Police responded to a restaurant on Holiday Inn Drive on Saturday at about 4 p.m. after receiving a call about an unwanted man. Police asked him to leave several times but he refused, and he was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act. Police seized a prohibited knife from the man, along with a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl, valued at $13,500. A 36-year-old Waterloo man is facing several charges including drug trafficking offences, unauthorized possession of a weapon, breach of probation, and failing to leave a premises when directed.
