Pair of crashes send three to hospital
A pair of serious crashes sent three people to hospital on Saturday.
The first occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on Angler Way in Waterloo, when a driver struck a parked car, a trailer and two homes.
The driver, a 28-year-old Waterloo man, and a female passenger were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the cause. Due to extensive damage to the two homes, residents were forced to leave until the buildings were deemed safe.
The second crash happened at about 11:25 p.m. on Huron Road near Puddicombe Road when a driver left the road and struck a hydro pole.
A 27-year-old woman from Wilmot Township was airlifted to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. Hydro was shut off to a large area while the driver was extricated.
