Wedding Bells (East) - - DETAILS REAL WEDDINGS -

FROM MEGAN: We chose Casa Loma as our re­cep­tion venue be­cause the build­ing and the at­mos­phere re­minded us of a Euro­pean es­tate. We also fell in love with the cater­ing—they cre­ated an in­cred­i­ble four-course, Provençal-in­spired meal, capped with an oth­er­worldly laven­der crème brûlée. I wore two amaz­ing dresses. For our cer­e­mony, I chose an Ate­lier Pronovias gown with a huge train, fit­ted bodice and pock­ets. It was pure Scar­lett O’Hara drama. For the re­cep­tion, I went with a lace Er­dem gown from the de­signer’s Spring 2012 col­lec­tion. I’m the Mar­ket­ing & Ven­dor Re­la­tions Man­ager at The Room, Hud­son’s Bay Com­pany, and Er­dem is one of my favourite de­sign­ers. The gown was made es­pe­cially for me in white—it was light, del­i­cate and so per­fect! For the decor, we worked with Spec­tac­u­lar Spec­tac­u­lar and Nous De­sign to cre­ate a deca­dent day brim­ming with pretty flow­ers. Our re­cep­tion was filled with can­dles in metal­lic hold­ers along­side David Austin roses, dahlias, lisianthus and blue satin table­cloths. All th­ese el­e­ments came to­gether to cre­ate the most ro­man­tic am­bi­ence. The high­light of the evening was dur­ing our speeches. It was in­cred­i­ble to stand to­gether in front of all our fam­ily and friends, thank­ing them, shar­ing spe­cial wishes for our par­ents and hear­ing each other speak with such love.
