Model Taylor McKay weds actor Gregory Smith in a Utah ceremony.

FROM TAYLOR: We shared our special day with friends and family in Park City, Utah, surrounded by the mountains.

Greg used to work on a show in Utah and kept a house there, so over the course of our relationship it has been a place we go for solitude and relaxation. It was Greg’s dream to get

married in ski boots, but I wanted a more elegant evening. The compromise was a formal wedding at a ski resort that requires a chairlift, sans the ski boots! The Lookout Cabin, a quaint log cabin perched on top of a mountain, was the perfect venue for our nuptials, which took place during the “golden hour” just as the sun kissed the horizon. The actual ceremony was my favourite part of the wedding. I was shaking with nerves right up until the moment my dad took my arm and walked me down

the aisle. Then a gentle wave of calm washed over me, and when Greg’s eyes met mine we just locked into each other. After the ceremony, we dined with our guests al fresco beneath bistro lights as the sun set. One of my bridesmaids, Sara, is CEO of the essential oils company Vitruvi. She scented the cabin with diffusers and their Grove oil blend, which filled the atmosphere with soothing scents of the forest. To continue the evening, everyone descended the mountain via the chairlifts to make their way to The Farm restaurant for the

after-party. It was so dark it felt like we were floating through the mountains and the night sky was glittering with stars. Our chairlift had a lit-up “Just Married” sign on the back, and friends cheered as our chair passed theirs.
