Wedding Bells (West) - - Real Weddings -

FROM STEPHANIE: A relaxed and personal day on the West Coast was what we always envisioned for our wedding. We wanted to incorporate our location on the river into our decor by using natural woods in our arbour, pew markers, centrepieces and guest favours. My favourite detail was actually the back of my dress—when I first saw it at Lisa’s Bridal Salon, I absolutely fell in love. I adore that the front is simple and elegant but you can see hints of sparkle in the sleeves. Fraser built the arbour we used for our ceremony. Our hope is that we will have a yard someday to put it in. He also made all the personalized wooden coasters, which our guests used at our wedding and then took home. We didn’t have assigned seating for dinner because we wanted to create an environment where people could socialize and get to know each other. It was so much fun to see the excitement on our guests’ faces when a new food station was served. Our guests are still talking about the mac and cheese bar, and the sliders and fries from the food truck. The highlight was seeing the looks on everyone’s faces when the minidoughnuts and root beer floats came out for the midnight snack!
