MERCEDES PENNER & ZACH PETERS

Wedding Bells (West) - - Real Weddings Western -

FROM MERCEDES: The romantic allure of the forest served as inspiration for our elegant woodland wedding. I wanted to incorporate as many woodsy details as possible while maintaining the simple and elegant decor. To keep the colour scheme airy we chose a palette of green, white and light grey with a mix of berry tones. Heier Designs did an absolutely amazing job on the florals. They perfectly brought to life my vision of wispy, romantic bouquets for me and the girls. I think I got more compliments on the bouquets than anything else! Spending time with my bridesmaids prior to the wedding was so much fun. We all got together before the big day to spend an evening drinking wine surrounded by flowers while we put together the centrepieces. Each centrepiece was a unique piece of art from one of my gals, and I was so proud of their work. Zach and I rarely dance together, so our first dance was really special. We chose “Say You Will” by Hearts & Colors, a song we both know the words to, for our first twirl together as Mr. and Mrs. One of my favourite memories is dancing with Zach, foreheads touching, eyes closed and promising forever to each other.
