AUGUST 10, 2018

FROM sElEna: We couldn’t be happier with how the wedding turned out with our modern-romantic theme. With a palette of burgundy, blush and rose gold, I loved the flowers and decor. Going into the planning process, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted and I also wasn’t picky. I talked to Kasandra from Purple Peony, told her my colours and to go for it. It was a total surprise what they would look like and I was completely thrilled! I loved the decor because it was simple and not overpowering. We went with gold, geometric centrepieces as the main focus, with gold, mercuryfinish votive candleholders, and greenery spread out on the table. Our first look was my favourite moment. When I got out of the limo, I got to see how beautiful the wedding party looked, from the bridesmaids and the groomsmen to Connor—he looked amazing. I walked up to Connor, super excited to see him for the first time that day, and was ready for him to turn around to do our first look. Once he turned around all my jitters disappeared and I was ready to have an awesome day. We shared the first dance to “You Are In Love” by Taylor Swift. I love Taylor Swift. Initially we had chosen a different song, but Connor decided he wanted this song instead. He knew how happy it would make me and how much this song means to me.
