JANUARY 27, 2018 We had a surprise wedding.

We originally told guests our wedding would be in June 2018. When friends and family entered the Broadview Hotel they had no idea they were actually attending our nuptials!

I was originally against the idea of having a first look.

I had always envisioned the first moment I saw my husband being when I walked down the aisle, but when we decided to do a surprise wedding, we knew a first look was a must.

Adam and I wanted the wedding to be a combination of formal flair meets comfortable elegance.

The greenery, candles and gold accents really made the room feel warm and magical. We balanced the formal, romantic setting with cans of beer and champagne when guests arrived, then the reception included champagne buckets of beer and fries.

The next surprise for guests came when Adam and I spoke first at the reception.

We started noting major milestones that led up to that evening. At the end of our speech we announced the second biggest surprise of the night and the biggest milestone to date—July 22nd, our first baby’s due date! Guests were completely shocked. It was an incredible moment—we feel so grateful we could share it with the people closest to us.
