FROM AMARA: I knew I wanted a blush and gold colour scheme from

the moment we started planning. This combination is soft, subtle and very in tune with the romantic theme we both love. Bernie and I agreed this color combination would work beautifully without looking too girly. We couldn’t believe how many people came to

share our day with us. We both have big families spread all over the world. Loved ones came to celebrate with us from places as far as Nigeria, Oman and India, to name just a few. Having so much support in one room was truly special. The reception was one to remember, as we had a contemporary

African dance performance. We really wanted to infuse our culture into the event, so it was great to have them dance for the guests. The bouquet toss

was one of highlights of the night. Girls clawed at one another, dove onto the ground and actually kicked the bouquet away from each other until it was finally claimed. It was one of the most entertaining things we’ve ever seen at a wedding!
