TRANS CANADA TRAIL
Bike, run, or walk on The Great Trail this summer and celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday by exploring Canada’s massive multipurpose pathway. The Trans Canada Trail covers over 21,000 km across all provinces and territories. It is made up of both land trails and waterway routes. Calgary is the trail's entry to the Rockies. So grab a bike or get your runners on and explore the scenic trails that Calgary, the foothills, and the Rockies have to offer.
Recommendation: Bike the 22 km stretch between Canmore and Banff on the Rocky Mountain Legacy Trail. This trail takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours one way and is rated a “beginner” difficulty trail.
