Thou­sands of volleyball play­ers and spec­ta­tors will de­scend on the dunes to bump, smash, and dig their way to glory, all while ac­cu­mu­lat­ing do­na­tions for char­i­ties like the Ot­tawa Mis­sion, Spe­cial Olympics On­tario, and the Chil­dren’s Aid Foun­da­tion of Ot­tawa. HOPE is, af­ter all, an acro­nym for “help­ing other peo­ple ev­ery­where.” There’s plenty of great BBQ of­fer­ings to keep ev­ery­one fu­elled up and a main stage with free en­ter­tain­ment from the Long Beach, Cal­i­for­nia in­die blues rock band Cold War Kids,
