The Art of the Brick (until Sept. 3) features everyone’s favourite building block, LEGO, as an artistic medium used to recreate famous artworks like Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and Michelangelo’s David. There are also several original pieces, including a 80,000-piece T-Rex and an interactive area where budding brick artists can build their own masterpieces.

Beyond Planet Earth (until Sept. 3) is both a history lesson and an exploration of the future of space travel. Alongside life-size satellites and rovers are immersive environments where one can visit the moon, asteroids, even Mars.

Medieval Europe — Power and Splendour (until Jan. 20, 2019) examines the aspects of life in medieval times with a variety of interactive exhibitions. From June to January, kids can live A Knight’s Life by learning about and trying on armour, and on Aug. 26, they can test their dancing, shield-building, and breadbaking skills at the Awesome Medieval activity day.
