Where Vancouver - - HERE & NOW - —SHERI RADFORD

AUG 20-SEP 5 Summer just isn't complete without a visit to The Fair at the PNE (page 72), an annual tradition that started way back in 1910. Locals and visitors alike can't resist the exhibits, gravity-defying rides and outdoor concerts each night, including Culture Club (Aug. 28) and The Monkees (Sep. 4). Don't miss Unbelievable, a world-class magical showcase; the interactive Angry Birds Universe, with its zipline, laser maze and climbing wall; the always popular SuperDogs, performing canine stunts galore; and The Beast, a screaminducing ride with speed, height and both side-to-side and circular motion. Word to the wise: wait until after riding it before trying a deep-fried Mars bar.
