Natural Wonders

Where Vancouver - - Art Galleries -

Riptides, landslides and windstorms, oh my! The rugged nature of the wild West Coast is what makes it so inspiring. At least that’s the case for the accomplished jewellers in Lattimer Gallery’s Forces of Nature: Northwest Coast Indigenous Jewellery (to Oct. 13; page 31). Pieces in silver, copper, shell and more are hand-carved by over 15 First Nations artists, including luminaries Corrine Hunt and Shawn Edenshaw (“Moon Rings,” pictured). Mother Nature, we love your style.
