STAN­LEY PARK Van­cou­ver’s 400-ha (1,000-acre) park was named for Lord Stan­ley in 1888 when he was Gov­er­nor Gen­eral. Lo­cals and vis­i­tors walk, bike or blade the 8.8-km (5.5-mi) sea­wall, tak­ing in spec­tac­u­lar scenery.
