is a tropical oasis even when the rest of bustling Vancouver is cold and rainy. Built in 1969 and located in an iconic geodesic dome straddling the top of Queen Elizabeth Park ( the highest point in Vancouver offering some fantastic views of downtown), the Conservatory makes a great short activity for families or couples in need of a blast of balmy air. Home to a vast array of tropical plants, koi fish and over 100 exotic birds ( including cheeky resident cockatoo, Charlie) the Conservatory is a lush, colourful jungle guaranteed to nurture a love of the great outdoors – all while staying warm and dry indoors!
