HAVE YOUR SKIS, SNOWBOARD DELIVERED

-

For those who arrive in town without their personal ski or snowboard gear, Whistler has several rental shops that will get you outfitted with the latest gear and accessories. But for those wishing to skip the potential rental-shop lineups, there’s another option: ski delivery services. Ski Valet Whistler will deliver the latest in skis, snowboards, boots and even winter wear right to your hotel or even your favourite coffee shop. The company, launched in 2017-’18, focuses on exceptional service, said General Manager Lisa McGregor.

Last season the company had a request from guests who were coming to the resort for the day to partake in Whistler Blackcomb’s Fresh Tracks Breakfast and then a day of skiing. Ski Valet Whistler dispatched a ski technician to meet the guests at 6:30 a.m. in the gondola lineup and even held onto the guests’ shoes until the end of an amazing ski day, McGregor said. “We will bend over backwards to make sure you only have to worry about getting in some amazing turns on these beautiful mountains,” she said. “That’s why we are all here, right?”

Ski Valet Whistler has an extensive fleet of top-quality gear, and its friendly staff can even outfit guests with the gear that best fits their ability and the day’s expected snow conditions, she said. While most customers are fitted with the right boots the first time, “We will do any adjustments needed, or even a second boot fitting — whatever gives the customer the best experience possible,” McGregor said.
