Swing Time

-

Ruby-throated Hummingbirds know how to make their partners swoon. During mating season, males will fly towards a feeding female but just when you think he's going to bump right into her, he'll fly past her. What a dramatic start to his swing dance! Next he'll fly up to three metres and then go right back the other way. He'll keep swinging back and forth, making little peeps until the two lovebirds rush off together.
