Never Mind Hotdogs, We Want Prairie Dogs!

The Black-footed Ferret nearly became extinct when local farmers gave their favourite prey, the prairie dog, the boot from their land. These ferrets need prairie dogs to stay alive. A family of four ferrets will eat 763 prairie dogs in a single year. After they hunt prairie dogs out in their burrows, ferrets will make themselves at home in the abandoned digs.
