Hummingbirds

One of Canada’s best aerial acrobats is the hummingbird. These birds can fly in any direction — forwards, backwards, up, down and even upside down — and change that direction in a blink of an eye. That’s fast! What’s their trick? Hummingbirds have incredibly flexible shoulder joints, which allow them to rotate their wings almost 180 degrees in a moment’s notice.
