Calgary man critically injured by shotgun blast
A shotgun blast Sunday morning left a 46-year-old man critically wounded on the front lawn of a friend’s home.
The victim was coming to pick up a friend’s daughter from a home in the city’s northeast to take her to a gymnastics class when he was shot at about 8:30 a.m.
“There is no danger to the community,” said Duty Insp. Victor Trickett. “This was not random.”
Homicide detectives were called out to the scene and police continue to investigate.
