Repaired Hitler waxwork back on show in Berlin

Adolf Hitler returned to the Madame Tussauds waxworks museum Saturday, two months after being “decapitated” by an angry visitor.

The waxwork statue of the Fuhrer, shown behind his work desk in his Berlin bunker, has been put behind a glass screen as a safety measure, the museum’s management said in a statement.

The decision was taken “to guarantee the safety of our exhibition for both visitors and staff,” the state- ment said.

Hitler’s statue had been attacked on the opening day of the Berlin Madame Tussauds July 5.

A 41-year-old Berliner tore off the statue’s head screaming “No more war!,” before being briefly taken in for questioning by police.
