Thanks to man who paid tab for Korean War vet
On Sept. 11, I met with fellow Korean War veterans and we went and paid our respects to fallen soldier Cpl. Andrew Grenon.
I made a couple of stops while in Windsor after leaving the funeral home and decided to have dinner at a restaurant in Essex.
After dinner, the waitress brought my tab. I visited the washroom and upon my return, I noticed the tab was gone.
I went to the cashier to pay for my dinner and she told me a gentleman, who was already gone, had paid for my it.
I would like to thank this gentleman with all my heart. Whoever you are, this was a wonderful gesture. There are still nice people in this world. DAVID LABONTE
