Fledgling party N.L. First launches two candidates
The Newfoundland and Labrador First Party has entered the federal election race with two candidates so far.
Greg Byrne will run in the riding of St. John’s South-Mount Pearl, held in the last Parliament by Conservative Loyola Hearn who is retiring. Wayne Bennett will run in the riding of Humber- St. Barbe- Baie Verte, where Liberal Gerry Byrne is the incumbent.
Greg Byrne, originally from Howley, N.L., currently lives with his family in Kelowna, B.C.
The party hopes to field a candidate in each of the province’s seven ridings.
