CULL RETURNS: Former Windsor Spitfires defenceman Trent Cull, 34, will return for his third season as an assistant coach with the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch, the top farm club of the Blue Jackets. Before joining Syracuse, he served as an assistant coach for Guelph of the Ontario Hockey League from 2004-06. DEVILS INK FEDOROV: The New Jersey Devils signed former Spitfire Fedor Fedorov, the younger brother of Sergei Fedorov, to a oneway contract and are going to give him every chance to make the team in training camp. SPEZZA JOINS GENERALS: Goaltender Matt Spezza, younger brother of former Spitfire Jason Spezza of the Ottawa Senators, has signed with the Internatio­nal Hockey League’s Flint Generals. VICTORIA RE-SIGNS LLOYD: The Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL re-signed ex-Spitfire Daryl Lloyd, who became a fan favourite with the club last season.
