LaSalle to host Santa Claus


The stage is set for LaSalle’s Santa Claus Parade.

The parade will be held Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. It’ll start off on Michael Raymond Drive south of Sandwich secondary school, ending at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.

Watchers will be treated to a showing of Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas in front of the complex prior to the parade.

The town is also hosting a Dinner with Santa and Mrs. Claus before the parade. The pasta dinner begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Vollmer complex, with a second session at 4:45. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance and are sold at the complex, are $10 for adults and $8 for children. Kids age two and under will get in free.

A free public skate is also being held by the LaSalle Business Associatio­n from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a free public swim from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
